ガイドラインについては，上記のリンクから見ていただきたいのですが，要約すると，Second Lifeなどの文字を，自己の営業名，組織名，製品名，サービス名などの一部に使用することを禁じ，セカンドライフ関連の活動を表示するものとしては，SLという文字を所定のガイドラインに基づいて使用することを求めるものとなっています。
